Parent Support

The Parent Support worker is able to support, guide and help families to understand and build knowledge of behaviour management, emotional support and the effective use of strategies. This support will take place in school for initially 6 weeks, however, this is reviewed on a regular basis and an extension could be permitted if required.

Below are just some of the activities that the parent support worker could assist with:

● 1:1 support at weekly meetings with the Parents

● Support with paediatric appointments

● Support at school meetings

● Signposting to information centres and support groups in the area

● Support to complete Early Help Assessment forms (EHAF) or All About Me form

● Support at local parent groups
